I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis. I also found this one of the most chilling stories I had ever heard, the way In Search of….told the story was treally well done added to the tension. I came here just after some new evidnece came to light adding a theory the colonists moved North.
I watched this when I was a kid in the 70′s & it chilled me. I grew up less than 100 miles from Roanoke Island & it still makes me wonder about the “Lost Colony”….
I thought they just went native.
They tore their houses down to make boats and they sunk. my theory i think is true
They realized that being so far from England they could go… so they went to Croatoa, The biggest amusement park the natives had created.
If anyone can find out what happened to them, it’s Spock.

Listen: These certain group of settlers realized their colony sucked, and went and found some natives nearby who seemed to know how to live off the land. And that they then left their shitty colony forever to go live happily ever after on Croatan Island, and to have impressive amounts of sex with the natives.
